Honor Magic V7 Adventure

the project

From cliff dives in Italy to ice baths in Finland, and even a sunrise hike up an active volcano, this high-octane campaign put the Honor Magic V7 phone through its paces. With just days to prep, our small team launched into a fast-paced, multi-country shoot that tested both gear and grit.

a bit more…

The Cliff Dive

We captured the dive using two drones – a Mavic for wide shots and a waterproof FPV drone that followed our diver straight into the water. A boat crew covered additional angles before moving up to the cliff for a different perspective. With the icy water limiting the number of jumps, every take counted.

Logistically, it was a balancing act. Positioning the crew at the right spots on the cliff, syncing the camera team with the drone operator and safety diver, and ensuring we had enough power to keep everything running. But with careful planning, we pulled it off. The locals celebrated us with Limoncello afterwards!

The Volcano

Getting to an island in December when it’s closed to tourists and ferries were getting cancelled left and right, to hike up an active volcano for one chance to take a drone off for sunrise? No problem.

After multiple ferry cancellations, we finally caught the last one of the day. With the schedule now extremely tight, we did a pitch-black recce hike after dropping our luggage, grabbed dinner, and caught a few hours of sleep. At 2am, we were back on the trail, still hiking in the dark, to catch the sunrise. Against all odds, we made it!
