a bit more…

This was one of my most ambitious projects to date. We initially explored an ‘in-camera’ build, using a full skate bowl designed to look like a giant cereal bowl. Visually exciting, but ultimately unworkable due to studio size limits and the physics needed for real tricks. So, we pivoted to a full 3D approach.

That meant finding a half-pipe builder willing to come to Manchester and paint the ramp chroma green over two days. Luckily, I found Roll-In Co, who not only delivered but helped nail the perfect dimensions for the trick we had in mind. Alongside the ramp, we built a custom kitchen set to capture the “perfect breakfast moment”, complete with warm, morning light and a rustic, lived-in feel.

We were limited to one shoot day with shorter hours due to working with a young contributor. To pull it off, we had a large crew and many moving parts that made it a logistical challenge. It was also my first time working with this much 3D, and a serious learning curve, but a rewarding one.
